<p>Exercise can be invigorating. It can ward off the blues when you are feeling a little down. It can even build confidence. So it has some emotional or mental benefits. But the real physical benefits of exercise are overrated. The problem is all the scientific studies with results touting the benefits of exercise are still ambiguous. The results are not black-and-white. There is a lot of gray area, a lot of questions left unanswered.</p>
<p>For instance, people who exercise are usually non-smokers. So results of studies are often skewed. Are they really a group with better health because they exercise, or is their health better because most of them do not smoke? And people who exercise often eat a different diet than people who are sedentary. It does not take years for a poor diet to begin to affect your health. Studies do clearly show that some poor food choices affect your body&#8217;s health within moments.</p>
<p>You are what you eat. The food you eat determines your health immediately because it is nourishing you now. If you eat an unhealthy meal, your body really only has hours until it needs better nutrition.</p>
<p>So if you keep eating unhealthy foods for years your body never has the nutrition it needs. And that takes its toll on your health, opening the door to a wide variety of diseases that could be prevented by eating better.</p>
<p>You may think exercise greatly benefits older people. It may give them more stamina so they can stay more active for a longer time. Perhaps. But exercise does not really protect against osteoporosis like you may have heard it does. If you want to avoid getting heart disease exercise may help, but only a little. It really only helps those who start to walk every day after they have been completely sedentary for years.</p>
<p>Moderate exercise lowers their risk of heart disease. But more vigorous exercise is practically wasted effort when it comes to preventing heart disease. The increased protection is minimal. And exercise is not a clear-cut solution to cancer either. Studies disagree on whether exercise really helps. But there are many foods which are proven to fight the spread of cancer within your body.</p>
<p>Moderate exercise can help you to stave off Type 2 diabetes. If you start to walk every day it is proven you can prevent the onset of diabetes. But surely diet is crucial to the prevention of diabetes, even more important than getting exercise.</p>
<p>If you want to lower your blood pressure you need to lose weight. Exercise will not lower your blood pressure if you do not lose the extra weight. Blood pressure again is dependent largely on diet. And weight loss itself is achieved through changes in diet, and not through exercise. Exercise can help you lose weight. But only when you drastically change your diet. You will not lose weight without cutting calories, even when you exercise vigorously.</p>
<p>When you are sealed you will want to know what you can do to take care of your health better. You can stay healthy from day to day and prevent the major diseases by changing your diet. Exercise will not help much.</p>

<p>Here are 3 massive exercises for a flat stomach:</p>
<p>1. Overhead pulley crunch &#8212; This is a massive exercise that you can do at your local gym. You grab the cable pulley, kneel down below it and hold it adjacent to the top of your head. Now, curl pull the cable towards the floor by curling your stomach. Many people do this wrong and forget to curl their abdomen making this exercise less effective. Pull the cable in a fluid motion, not in an abrupt thrust. Also, don&#8217;t try to get to the floor as it will cause your knees to slide back. Feel for the point of maximum abdominal intensity and go back to the starting position.</p>
<p>2. Abs bicycles &#8212; This is a well known exercise which often doesn&#8217;t get enough attention and is replaced by the useless crunch. The bicycle is an excellent exercise for a flat stomach and you should definitely do it. You start this exercise by lying on a mat with your hands holding the sides of your head and your feet on the floor at a 90 degrees angle. Then you curl your abdomen diagonally by bringing one elbow and the opposite knee closer together, while straightening your other leg a few inches above the floor. Now you switch sides, simultaneously bringing the other elbow and knee together. This movement resembles cycling and is a very effective abs exercise.</p>
<p>3. Reverse Crunches &#8212; It&#8217;s amazing how much more effective an opposite movement can be than the common one. Reverse crunches are such an example. Lie as you do for a regular crunch, but place both arms straight on the mat beside your body and lift your head and shoulders a bit off the floor. Now raise your pelvis by curling it towards your torso so that your bended knees come as close as possible to your chest. Again, do this in a fluid motion, not abruptly.</p>
<p>These 3 exercises alone can get you a flatter stomach faster than all the abdominal machines and endless crunches that most people perform.</p>

<p>Exercises for Variety and Development Step by Step Abdominal Training Explained</p>
<p>Concept #1: How Many Times Per Week to Train Abs</p>
<p>Do you remember hearing somewhere that in order to get the abdominals you want; you&#8217;ve got to train them everyday? I know I heard that from several sources. None of those sources had super ripped abs.</p>
<p>Fact: Many of the people who DO have ripped abs train them 1-3 times per week.</p>
<p>Train your abs 1-3 times per week. I would recommend training them after a smaller body part workout like chest and biceps and abs, or shoulder, triceps and abs. You can do them on your off days as well. Try to avoid doing them with legs as it&#8217;s a major body part. Try to avoid doing them first as you&#8217;ll need your stabilizers to be 100% when they are used in other compound exercises.</p>
<p>You probably already know this&#8230; your abs can be trained a bit more frequently then most other muscle groups because of two factors:</p>
<p>1. The muscle density is different allowing for different recovery time</p>
<p>2. 99.9% of programs do not encourage you to train abs to muscular failure</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t want to train abs to muscular failure for the purpose of this guide.</p>
<p>Concept #2: How Many Exercises Per Session</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re like me, you don&#8217;t want another session added to your workout that is going to add another 20 minutes to your gym time. But like any other muscle, the abdominals require a bit of stimulation but just enough to grow and change and become stronger.</p>
<p>Unlike other body parts, you won&#8217;t be doing countless sessions for abs. In fact&#8230;</p>
<p>Use 3-5 exercises per session</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all you really need. Use the schedule listed in this guide or just pick 3 different exercises and do 3-5 different exercises per session. You can vary your rest up to 90 seconds.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ve got to wonder why people train abs by themselves for 30 or more minutes at a time. That&#8217;s crazy! And most of the people coming out of those &#8220;Ab Blaster&#8221; classes don&#8217;t even have abs. They are doing longer sessions for a single muscle group then you ever need to engage in.</p>
<p>Simply put, 3-5 exercises will do just fine.</p>
<p>Concept #3: Using Cardio as A Metabolism Boosting Tool</p>
<p>For maximum fat loss, you should do cardio 4-7 days per week for 30-60 minutes (the amount is variable depending on your results). You could continue running or mix up the type of cardio you do (stationary cycling, stairclimbing, elliptical machines, and other continuous aerobic activities are all excellent fat burners without the high impact and joint stress of frequent running).</p>
<p>If time efficiency is an issue for you, you could perform high intensity interval cardio training and achieve very efficient results with even briefer workouts (20-30 min per sessions, or less, if the intensity is high enough) Once you are satisfied with your level of body fat and your abdominal definition, you can cut back to 3 days per week for 20-30 minutes for maintenance.</p>
<p>Concept #4: Advanced Techniques</p>
<p>Part of this guide is to ensure that you use all the techniques possible in order to achieve the results you want. There are two techniques you can use so that your routine doesn&#8217;t become &#8216;routine.&#8217;</p>
<p>1. Tempo Variation: Another way to increase the effectiveness of the training program is to focus on the tempo of the exercise. Tempo just means the speed of the exercise. For example, a 3-1-1 tempo means you&#8217;ll take 3 seconds to lower the weight, then you&#8217;ll pause for 1 second, and then you&#8217;ll lift the weight back up in 1 second.</p>
<p>2. Variety: It&#8217;s been said that your body will adapt to any routine within 5-6 workouts. By including many different exercises, it will be impossible to adapt. Not only will your body be continually challenged but the variety will help to ward of getting bored of doing the same things every week, every workout.</p>
<p>3. Multiple Angles: While the abdominals are classified as a &#8217;single&#8217; muscle, that doesn&#8217;t mean you can&#8217;t work it from a variety of angles in order to achieve the maximum stimulation. Many times an individual will have their upper abdominals developed but are lacking any real &#8220;visual&#8221; development in the lower abs. Rather then focus on a section of the abdominals, this guide will encourage you to work the muscle from a variety of angles for the best possible stimulation.</p>

Most people have a certain amount of body fat in their abs region, and the most effective way to get rid of this fat still remains to be beyond somebody&#8217;s understanding.</p>
<p>The difficulty most people are having is the fact that they are searching for the wrong workout plans to lose their stubborn tummy fat. Everyone wants that &#8220;miracle formula&#8221; of ab workouts, and exercises that will burn their fat off faster than fly&#8217;s on butter.</p>
<p>However notice how the title mentions &#8220;Belly Fat Loss&#8221; these workouts tend to strengthen the lower abdominal areas, but the fat still remains, yes the fat! This is the layer that is hiding your true abs. In order to get the abs to show, you need to work on something that will increase your metabolic rate and fat burning hormones. Creating a strategic full body workout plan can do this. If you&#8217;re thinking about cardiovascular exercises, these will not create the greatest effect for metabolic rate, and fat loss hormones.
